In the video settings there should be a way to output as openVR. That should be how it goes to the headset. Also assuming you know to start SteamVR also so it can see your headset. I'm using the Quest 2 with the Link and I don't use OpenVR. I just launch it from the Content Manager after enabling Link in the headset.

The problem with mine (Oculus Rift S) was it crashed the PC when a certain track+car combo is loaded (not sure which - mine was Nordschleiffe tourist with bunch of GT3s).
First thing I did was downgrade to Windows 10. You can't keep any of your data, but my computer now runs Assetto in max settings at 160 FPS on screen and 40 FPS in VR. Still messing with settings so the Oculus Quest 2 looks good. That's the part I'm struggling with since all the advice I'm finding for it is for Assetto Corsa Competizione .
Many ohters had this issue on monitors and vr. Here is the fix. First delete the user/local/ac2/ folder. Next delete the game on steam. restart the computer and re-install. Start the game and set it all up again. Now make small cahnges until its running up to par. I ended up with zero issues and im running smooth.
